Nigerian Air Force Recruitment (BMTC) Form And Portal 2025/2026. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is one of the main parts of the Nigerian military that has been fighting hand in hand with the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy. The Nigerian Air Force is the youngest force in the Military. The Nigerian Air Force was founded on 18 April 1964. Since the establishment of this force, it has been one of the best. They also have one of the largest personnel strengths in all the Air Forces in the world, as they have up to one hundred thousand active personnel.

The Nigerian Air Force has fighting equipment like Fighter Jets, Attack Helicopters, Attack Drones, Surveillance Drones, and SAM (Air Defense System). They have also participated in some missions like the Nigerian Civil War, First Liberian Civil War, Sierra Leone Civil War, and many others. In this post, we will be explaining the ways you can be able to join this force and the requirements that are needed to join the Nigerian Air Force.

Nigerian Air Force BMTC recruitment

Before we talk about the requirements, there are a few things we need to explain concerning this recruitment. The Nigerian Air Force conducts three main basic recruitments yearly. For those who are graduates and wish to join the Nigerian Air Force, this post is not for you, as we have written a post on how to join the Nigerian Air Force as a graduate. What we mean by graduates is those that possess HND or BSC or equivalent.

Secondly, for those who wish to become commissioned Officers using SSCE certificate in the Nigerian Air Force, you need to go through the Nigerian Defence Academy, where you will spend about 5 years before you will be commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force as an Air Force Officer. Now for the Air Force recruitment for the non-commissioned Officers, it’s meant for those that possess SSCE, NCE, or National Diploma. Before you can be able to join the Nigerian Air Force, below are the requirements you need to possess.

Nigerian Air Force Requirements

  • Applicants must be Nigerians by birth with a means of identification.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years before applying and not more than 22 years old, especially for the BMTC Recruitment exercise. The only exception to this age is for those who are joining as Medical Consultants [25-40 years] and Chaplains/Imams (20 – 32 years).
  • The minimum height for male applicants is 1.65m, while the minimum height for female applicants is 1.63m.
  • Possession of an O’level result with a minimum of at least five credits in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics).
  • All the applicants must be physically and medically fit before applying.
  • Applicants must possess a Local Government Area Attestation Form.
  • All the applicants are expected to be single; also, pregnant women are not allowed to apply.
  • After a successful application, you are expected to print out an Acknowledgment Slip, Attestation of Parent / Guardian Form, and Local Government Area Attestation Form.
  • A Bank Verification Number (BVN) is also needed before you can apply for the recruitment.
  • For those applying as Tradesmen, you are expected to present your trade test or trade certificate, as the case may be.

To apply for the Nigerian Air Force recruitment, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Visit the Nigerian Air Force recruitment portal nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng
  • Fill in all the required information.
  • Upload all the necessary documents which are required.
  • Save and submit your application.
  • Print out the Acknowledgment Form.
  • Wait until the shortlist is out.

Please, while applying for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recruitment, make sure you put a valid phone number and email address because you are likely to be contacted through those if your application is successful. Also, make sure you read all the instructions carefully before applying, as any little mistake can lead to an automatic disqualification.
