NDLEA, which also means National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, is one of the paramilitary organizations in Nigeria. They are the ones who are in charge of fighting drug abuse and trafficking.
Apart from fighting drug abuse and trafficking, the NDLEA are often deployed alongside some other paramilitary agencies in Nigeria like the Immigration Service, Police, and Civil Defence. Now you understand what NDLEA stands for. Now let’s go down to the NDLEA training allowance and training duration.
NDLEA Training Allowance
The NDLEA training allowance ranges from ₦15,000 – ₦25,000 for those who joined the service with SSCE, NCE, or National Diploma. While those who joined the service as a graduate are paid about ₦25,000 – ₦45,000.
Please also note that those who are joining the NDLEA as a graduate must possess either HND or B.Sc. HND is the certificate which is given to those who graduated from any recognized Polytechnic, while BSC is obtained when you graduate from a University.
NDLEA Training Duration
NDLEA training duration is about 6 months for those who joined the service using SSCE, NCE, or National Diploma certificate, while those who joined the service using HND or BSC last up to 9 months to a year.
Please be aware that the NDLEA training allowance is only paid to candidates who are still under training. This allowance will be terminated immediately after the completion of the training. The figures mentioned above is the approximated salaries of the NDLEA as there may still be some changes in the main salary paid to them.
