The Nigerian Army DSSC, which which stands for Direct Short Service Commission, is a type of commission in the Nigerian Army used to recruit graduates into the Nigerian Army. If you are not a graduate, you won’t be able to join the Nigerian Army through the DSSC. Now, let’s look at the Nigerian Army DSSC Rank.
Please note that there is another commission which is also conducted by the Nigerian Army known as SSC, which means Short Service Commission. It is also meant for graduates. Nigerian Army DSSC Rank
The Nigerian Army DSSC Ranks were also listed when we wrote about the Nigerian Army Ranks and Salary, though it is not clearly stated whether it is for DSSC or SSC. However, all the commissioned officers’ ranks are the same, depending on where you are starting your rank from. This simply means that whatever is paid to a Lieutenant who joined the Army through SSC, DSSC, or even Regular Cadets will be the same amount of money.
Before we talk about salary, let’s first see the ranks which are available in the Nigerian Army DSSC.
Nigerian Army DSSC Ranks
The Nigerian Army DSSC Rank starts from Lieutenant, Captain or even Major depending of the area of specialization of the officer. We explained this when we wrote about the difference between DSSC and SSC in the Nigerian Army. Below are the complete ranks in the Nigerian Army DSSC:

- Lieutenant Colonel
- Colonel
- Brigadier General
The ranks listed above are the ranks which are available in the Nigerian Army DSSC. Now, let’s look at the salary which is paid to the Nigerian Army DSSC.
Nigerian Army DSSC Salary
- Lieutenant – ₦280,000.
- Captain – ₦320,000.
- Major – ₦380,000.
- Lieutenant Colonel – ₦420,000.
- Colonel – ₦580,000.
- Brigadier General – ₦750,000.
The salary mentioned above is the salary that is paid to DSSC officers. Though there may be some little changes sometimes in their salaries, it won’t differ much from the figures we mentioned above.
