The Nigerian Army 90RRI is a type of recruitment organized by the Nigerian Army for those who wish to join the Nigerian Army with SSCE certificate. Previously, we wrote about how to join the Nigerian Army as a graduate and that was to make it easy for graduates who wish to join the Nigerian Army.

The Nigerian Army 90 RRI is in two categories, the tradesmen and the non tradesmen. The tradesmen are those who are joining the army with trade certificate while the non tradesmen are for those who are applying with only SSCE certificate.

The tradesmen soldiers are usually deployed where they practice the trade which they are enlisted with. The non tradesmen are always deployed to combat corps in the Nigerian Army like the infantry, Armour or Artillery. Is 90RRI Form Out?

Yes, the Nigerian Army 90RRI recruitment form is out for interested candidates to apply. The application portal for the Nigerian Army 90RRI recruitment opened on 29 September 2025 and will close on 14 November 2025. All the the interested candidates are to apply within the period as late entries will not be allowed. Below are the 90RRI recruitment requirements.

Nigerian Army 90RRI Recruitment Requirements

• Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
• Applicants must be physically, mentally And medically fit.
• Applicants must have finished secondary school and must present an O’Level certificate, either WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
• Applicants must provide Letter of Indigene Certificate from State House or Local Government of origin.
• Applicants must not be an ex convict. This simply means that applicants have to be free from any kind of criminal case or related crimes.
• Applicants must be between the age of 18 and 22 years at the period of applying.
• Applicants must not be less than 1.65m for males and 1.56m for females.
• Applicants must attend the state screening exercise at the candidates state of origin.
• Applicants must possess birth certificate or declaration of age from Any court in the Country.
• Applicants must have their BVN which is obtained from the bank.

General Instructions For The Nigerian Army 90 RRI 2025/2026

• Candidates are to note that there will be no Pre-Selection Computer Based Test.
• No special center for recruitment.
• There will be no Zonal Screening Exercise.
• All screening of potential recruits will be conducted at the candidates’ respective state of origin.
• Candidates are not to bring electronic or recording devices to the venue of the State Recruitment Exercise.
• Candidates are also expected to adhere to COVID-19 protocols which include regular washing of hands, use of face mask, and observing physical distance.
• Any candidate who falsifies or forges his/her results and is discovered even during training at Depot NA would be withdrawn from training.
• Candidates are advised to come with their BVN printout.
• Candidates are advised in their own interest not to give any form of gratification or inducement to any person or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise.
